Watching Gary’s agile hands, creased with soil, transplant tiny sproutings in the greenhouse was an almost religious experience. What an incredible feeling it was to visit the farm at the beginning of the summer when the farm is filled with so much promise. Goslings scampering around the yard, the flower garden in full bloom and alive with the humming of bees, fields of early garlic crops, glowing from the sun as it drops behind the mountains. A tiny paradise.
Tipiland provides the Kootenay Co-op and other local markets with garlic, herbs, flowers, brocolli, kale, chard and asian greens.
