The little cookbook that could…
Do you remember the scene in Tommy Boy where Chris Farley is getting hosed down at the gas station and dancing and singing ‘I’m a Maniac’ a la Flashdance? That’s me right now as I hold my copy of the Seasoning’s Cookbook in my hot little hands.

It is here. Fresh from the printers. And although the official book launch is not until tomorrow, the buzz around this book is quickly escalating to a roar.
Seasonings is much more than just a cookbook–it is a testament to what an amazing foodie community there is in the Kootenays.

With recipes from local icons such as Shelley Adams of Whitewater Cooks fame, Alligator Pie Catering, Epiphany Cakes and Francyne’s Cuisine you know the recipes are amazing.

Literary contributions from Almeda Glen Miller, Eileen Delahanty Pearkes, Tom Wayman and Rita Moir (just to name a few) round out the book taking it beyond just a standard collection of recipes and renders it a classic piece of Kootenay culture celebrating our vibrant food culture.

Official launch party: Oct 1 @ 6:30pm
Nelson Public Library
Seasonings will be available at the Nelson Library, Kootenay Co-op and Otter Books as of Oct 2.
$24.95 and all the proceeds of the book go directly to the Nelson Library Expansion Fund.
Something tells me I have finished my Christmas shopping for the year.
